Powerful, smooth, passionate, classic…..Becky brings an energy to the dance floor that can only be described as Suave. Their unique style and inspiring presence makes her one of Sydney's most admired and sought after dancers
Becky has had a strong history of teaching, performing and competing in Latin dance,
and is respected as a world class professional. She travels extensively for training,
learning from the world’s best, while remaining true to her distinctive style which
brings together the energy and passion of street style Latin dancing with elegance
and sophistication.
Together with her partner Fernando Becky won the Sydney Salsa
Competition in 2003, in 2004 they went on to place second in the national championships
and to dazzle the Australian public on ABC’s Strictly Dancing.In the same year they
were the first Australian couple to be finalists at the Mayan World Salsa Competition
in Los Angeles.
Their many performance highlights include demonstrating and instructing at the 1st Festival de Salsa in New Caledonia and performing at the Australian, New York and Miami Salsa Congresses in 2005.
Fernando and Becky have thrilled crowds of over 4000 people at Australia’s biggest Latin Festivals including; Sydney’s Barcadi Festival in 2002, 2003 and 2004, Maroubra Festival in 2004, Sydney Latin Festival in 2003 and 2004 and Darling Harbour’s Latin Fiesta in 2003.
As an instructor, Becky is known for her vibrant energy and genuine warmth.
Salsa Suave is known for producing high level dancers and amazingly sinchronised teams.
